Residents may dispose of Christmas trees in the parking lot at the southeast corner of Elm and First streets and in the parking lot at the BMX park on the south side of East Empire Street from Dec. 31 through Jan. 11.
Cortez Public Works crews will pick up trees curbside from Jan. 7-11. To recycle your tree, place it at the curb in front of your house after removing all tree ornaments, tinsel and trimmings.
