Cortez Quilt Co. plans to unveil collections and schedule on Saturday

Cortez Quilt Co. and More will unveil fabric collections, samples and patterns and release the summer class schedule during a grand opening event on May 19.

The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the store at 40 W. Main St.

At 10:30 a.m. participants will have the chance to purchase a three-month class pass for $46, and at 1:30 p.m., attend a class by Shanna Stordahl on how to do your own quilting with ruler work. At 4:30 p.m., attendees will draw for a Bernina Bernette 33 machine. And from 1-5 p.m., the first 20 customers who schedule basic machine service will receive $20 off.

Cortez Quilt Co. and More also will host a quilting documentation event from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Legacy Dance Studio, which is just four doors down at 20 W. Main St.

“We hope you’ll join us on Saturday to enjoy special demonstrations, discounts and refreshments,” said Aimee King, owner of the Cortez Quilt Co. and More.

The event is free, and cake will be served.
