Tawnya Miller, a student at SWCCC, was awarded the Program for Continuing Education Grant from the Philanthropic Educational Organization. She was sponsored by P.E.O. Chapter EV of Cortez.

Miller is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in nursing.

The P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education Grant was established to provide need-based grants to women whose education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to return to school to support themselves or their families.
