The Cortez Public Library plans a free crafts day on Friday, Sept. 29 from noon to 3 p.m.

The birdhouse class is limited to in size and according to age group, said children’s librarian Laura McHenry. The cooking class also is limited in size and requires parental participation.

Pre-registration is required, and a signup sheet is available at the library.

Participants include Piñon Project Early Childhood Programs, the Four Corners Miniatures Club and Cooking Matters Southwest Colorado. Papa Murphy’s pizza shop is providing reading incentive certificates, and Aaron’s lease-to-own shop is providing bottled water.

The library is at 202 N. Park St. For more information, call 970-565-8117.
