Cortez Historical Preservation Board to identify historic properties

The Cortez Historic Preservation board has received a grant from the Colorado State Historical Fund to identify historic homes and businesses throughout the city.

A public meeting will take place Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. in the Mesa Verde Room, at Cortez City Hall, at 123 E. Roger Smith Ave. Home and business owners can attend to share information about their properties. Any building older than 50 years old could be historic.
