The Cortez Hampton Inn has been awarded the company’s “Circle of Excellence” award for the 2016 business year.
General Manager Janice Christiansen said the top 10 percent of Hampton hotels get the award each year out of more than 2,200 in the country.
“It’s pretty cool,” she said. “We’re pretty excited.”
Each Hilton hotel gets a quarterly score based on a quality audit, Christiansen said. The audits consider feedback from hotel guests, so the “Circle of Excellence” award is a people’s choice award of sorts, Christiansen said.
The Cortez Hampton opened in June 2015, so they earned the award following their first full year of business, she said. “It’s pretty amazing to get this in your first year of business,” she said.
