The Cortez Elks Lodge will host the Happy Trails Hoedown fundraiser Jan. 18 at the Elks Lodge.

The event is open to the public and proceeds will benefit Elks veterans projects. These projects provide help including clothing and household items such as home safety bars. The lodge also takes items to veterans hospitals in Grand Junction and Albuquerque.

Dinner is $20 with a choice of fried chicken or ribs, beans and cornbread and cowboy potatoes. Dancing will follow dinner.

Donations of gift certificates, or products are requested for the auctions and raffle.

Cash donations are accepted. Make checks payable to Cortez Elks 1789 with Veterans Programs in the memo line. Send donations to chairman Lynn Gann, 30010 Rd. L, Mancos, CO 81328 or Elks P.O. Box 726, Cortez, CO 81321.
