Medved Global Inc. of Dolores has been selected by the U.S. Small Business Administration as the 2019 National Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year.

Awardees from across the United States were be honored during National Small Business Week in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, May 5.

Nate Hicks and Alika “Zwicker” Allencastre visited Washington, D.C. to accept the award on behalf of Medved Global Inc.

“At Medved, we continually seek opportunities to identify and develop new strategies for innovated ideas to improve our projects. The majority of our projects are for the U.S. Government, being named the National Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year, is a testament of our commitment to our clients, and to you as taxpayers,” Medved CEO and President Michelle Hicks, said.

Each year, since 1963, the president has issued a proclamation declaring National Small Business week. The SBA celebrates National Small Business Week by recognizing the achievements of outstanding small-business owners and entrepreneurs across the United States.
