Library announces fall book sale Oct. 23

The Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College announces the Delaney Research Library fall book sale on Oct. 23 from 4-6 p.m.

Offerings will include many books on the American West and Southwest, railroads and other topics. These new and lightly used books are available for purchase at $.50 and up. In conjunction with the Center of Southwest Studies’ book launch and author signing of Tough Men in Hard Places: A Photographic Collection by Esther Greenfield.

League to learn about veterans services

The League of Women Voters of Montezuma County will meet Nov. 8 at 9 a.m. at the Ponderosa Restaurant in Dolores.

The guest speaker will be Rick Torres, who will discuss services provided to veterans in Montezuma County. The meeting is open to the public.

Ballot Issue pamphlets from the League of Women Voters of Colorado are available at the Dolores, Mancos and Cortez public libraries and various other locations. There are four issues on the November ballot, and the publication provides pros and cons. For information, call 970-564-0708.
