Republicans will be hammered in 2014’s congressional elections and the new Democratic congressional super-majority will welcome Hillary Clinton to the White House in 2016. Obamacare is the law of the land. Republicans don’t have the votes in Congress to overturn it, so sent bills up to the Senate which they knew wouldn’t pass, forcing the government to screech to a halt, hoping the public would blame President Obama. Umm, that isn’t how it works. You see the Affordable Health Care became law according to “School House Rock.” Remember, “Conjunction Junction (what’s your function)”? How about “How a Bill Becomes Law.” It wasn’t as catchy: “…Listen to those congressmen argue. Is all that discussion and debate about you bill?” Yeah. “Most bills never even get this far. I hope they decide to report on me favorably, otherwise I may die.”
“Die? Yeah, in committee! But it looks like I’m gonna live. Now I go to that House of Representatives and they vote on me. If they vote, ‘yes,’ what happens? Then I go to the Senate and the whole thing starts all over again. Oh, no! Oh, yes. I’m only a bill, and if they vote for me on Capitol Hill, well, then I’m off to the White House where I’ll wait in a line with a lot of other bills for the President to sign. And if he signs me, then I’ll be a law!”
