A collaboration of community members is working to increase the availability of fresh, locally grown produce at the local food bank, The Good Samaritan Center, in Cortez.

They plan to be collecting excess produce this summer that will be distributed to the people who visit the food bank.

If you have any of the following items that you would be willing to donate to the Good Samaritan Center, or if you’d be willing to donate funds so that they can purchase them, call 509-830-4380.

Supplies that are needed:

An energy-efficient refrigerator.

Two standard-size coolers that will fit into a car.

Reusable ice packs for use in the coolers.
