Community Connections seeks wreath sponsors for ‘Let’s Light Up Main Street’

The Journal

Community Connections has announced “Let’s Light Up Main Street,” the inaugural Festival of Wreaths in Cortez, to bring awareness to their work supporting friends and neighbors with disabilities and to light up spirits and Main Street this holiday season.

Community Connections will place lighted wreaths sponsored and decorated by local businesses in storefront windows along Main Street. Wreaths include gifts and decorations that may be associated with the sponsoring business or a theme of their choice. All wreaths will be auctioned online in early December as part of Community Connections’ 17th annual Festival of Trees in Durango.

To sponsor a wreath, visit www.communityconnectionsco.org, and click on the Festival of Trees link in “What’s New.” Proceeds benefit over 750 children and adults with intellectual, developmental and other disabilities across Montezuma, Dolores, San Juan, La Plata and Archuleta counties.
