The Montezuma Valley Farm Hub presents four in-depth classes featuring local experts & experienced farmers & ranchers. The first class in this series, Opportunities in Sheep & Goat Production, takes place March 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Let It Grow in Cortez, 90 North Mildred Road. Four Corners Dancers invite you to our Four Corners Fling. We will be Round and Square Dancing on the 14th and 15th at the Cortez Middle School gym. Spectators can watch for free. The Mancos Seed Library will be hosting three seed workshops and a seed exchange in March with “The intelligence of Seeds: Reproductive Biology” on March 10 and “The Abundance of Seeds: Basics of Seed Saving” on March 17. The Cortez Public Library will offer computer classes in March: On March 13 at 1 p.m. there will be a beginning computer class, on searching the Internet. On March 14 at 1 p.m. staff from the Workforce Center will be holding a class on finding a job. On March 27 at 1 p.m. there will be a class on Google Apps. All classes must be signed up for ahead of time by stopping by or calling the library at 565-8117.

For Pets’ Sake Humane Society will host a Low-Cost Dog and Cat Vaccination Clinic from 9 a.m. until noon at the IFA Country Store, 10501 Highway 491 in Cortez. Dog and cat vaccine include rabies, distemper (dogs), leukemia (cats), and more for $41; or $15 for rabies only. Packages without rabies are just $32.
