The Colorado Food Cluster is now accepting registrations for a free summertime meal program targeting low-income families in Montezuma County and other eligible areas. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the summer.
Along with Montezuma County, the program is accepting applications from Archuleta, Dolores, San Juan, Ute Mountain Reservation and others. It is open to children ages three through 18, and those who are accepted will receive 10 days’ worth of breakfasts and lunches directly to qualifying households via the U.S. Postal Service or UPS throughout the summer.
Families must meet income guidelines to participate. The program was created to keep children nourished during the months they are unable to receive the meals they receive at school during the school year.
