Starting Monday, Colorado Department of Transportation, Colorado State Patrol and 43 local law enforcement agencies throughout the state will begin the first Click It or Ticket campaign of the year. The enforcement will run through June 6.

There have been 193 deaths on Colorado roads this year, a 12% increase compared with this time last year.

The Click It or Ticket campaign encourages people to buckle up to avoid a citation and to get home safely to their loved ones.

The next enforcement period is from July 31 to Aug. 6.
