The 1957 graduating class from Montezuma County High School will be celebrating its 60th anniversary with a reunion in Cortez on June 23-24.

On June 23, participants will dine in the gym at Cortez Middle School. The dinner by Jack and Jill will begin with sign-in and registration at 5 p.m. On Saturday, a picnic in Centennial Park at 1 p.m. will feature Bud Winbourn’s barbecue. Reunion committee members Larry Perkins of Star, Idaho, Maurine Johnson Nathanson of Salado, Texas, and Faith Conoley Gunther of Lakewood, Colorado, invite residents to stop by the park after the barbecue to say hello.

The contact list has grown to over 130 with classmates from elementary school through high school coming from all over the U.S. and Canada.
