Four finalists will be selected in consideration for the position
The city of Cortez will host a meet-and-greet with the four finalists for the position of finance director. The finalists will be selected by the end of the week.
Residents may meet the candidates May 14, 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at City Hall, 123 Roger Smith Ave.
The finance director’s duties include overseeing public funds by submitting the annual audit, maintaining the general accounting of the city and working with the city manager and City Council to prepare the annual budget, a news release said.
Residents will may provide observations and feedback to the selection committee.
