Mildred Road in Cortez was closed from the Welcome Center to Empire Street from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.

Through traffic was allowed to the City Park parking lots.

Four Corners Materials will be milling and trucks will be entering and leaving the work site. Paving was scheduled to start as early as Monday.

Smith Materials also planned to work on a sewer tie-in on Sligo Street between Coronado Avenue and Downey Street on Monday and Tuesday.
