Four Corners Community Bank has announced the closing on its acquisition of Citizens State Bank of Cortez, a transaction that expands its high-touch, personalized banking service to more customers in Southwest Colorado.
“With seven branches following the closing, along with robust services, Four Corners will be able to serve all of the banking needs of Cortez customers,” said Larry McGee, Cortez market president for Four Corners. “The combined bank’s strong capital level also provides greater lending ability and the reassurance that customers are looking for from their bank today.”
Until the operational conversion of Citizens State systems to Four Corners, which is projected to take place in February 2014, Citizens State customers will see no changes in their banking services and should continue to use their same checks, make loan payments and conduct their online banking as usual.
“Four Corners has the financial and human resources to serve the needs of our communities,” said Sheila Mathews, president and CEO of Four Corners. “We welcome the customers of Citizens State and look forward to demonstrating how Four Corners can help them achieve their financial goals.”
