Mancos elementary students will host a Christmas showcase Tuesday
The holiday concert, titled “Christmas With the Classics,” will feature Mancos Elementary students in first through third grades.
It begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Mancos Performing Arts Center. Hot chocolate will be available.
K-12 music teacher Andrew Saletta said the students will perform pieces inspired by classical composers such as Georges Bizet, Antonin Dvorak, Johann Strauss Jr. and Evard Grieg, reimagined with holiday-themed lyrics.
“It’s a fun mashup of music and history for performance,” he said.
