Chamber News: Dolores gearing up for winter, holidays

A lone red poinsettia gets the jump on the holiday season at the Four Seasons Greenhouse and Nursery. The Winter Farmers Market begins operation on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The 24th annual Dolores Community Center Christmas Bazaar will take place Dec. 5 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All proceeds go to the community center, home of the bazaar, at 400 Riverside Ave.

So far, about 50 vendors have signed up, said organizer Ruby Gonzales, and there is room for more. Vending costs just $25, and table and chairs are provided.

There will be arts and crafts, ornaments, baked goods, gift items, door prizes and much more from vendors in Dolores, Cortez, Mancos, Bayfield, Farmington, Grand Junction, and Blanding. The event signals the kickoff to the Dolores area Christmas events.

Vendor booths go quickly, so contact Gonzalez at 970-882-7717 to reserve yours.
