Mancos fireworks fund seeks donations

Drop off a donation for the Mancos Community Fireworks at Mancos Valley Bank in Mancos or in Cortez or join one of fundraisers in Mancos at the Mancos Valley Bank.

The annual Bake Sale and Silent Auction is June 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The car wash, conducted by the National Honor Society, is June 20.

The Independence Run is June 27.

Painted Turtle Studio gears up for summer

Get ready parents and kids, the Painted Turtle Studio is gearing up for summer with a workshop on making homemade natural sunscreen. This class will be held Sunday, May 31, from 1 to 3 p.m.

Also, the Painted Turtle will offer summer camp art classes June 1 and through August. Classes will be held Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the studios new location, 200 W. Grand Ave.
