Bluff annual arts fest is Oct. 16-18

For The Cortez Journal

The small town of Bluff, Utah, celebrates its 11th Annual Arts Festival Oct. 16-18. The weekend will be packed with free and almost free events – an evening of storytelling on the banks of the San Juan River, a “Trail of the artist” with artist demonstrations and special exhibits at local galleries, activities for the kids, and workshops on painting, cooking native foods, willow weaving, writing and photographing prehistoric sites.

Saturday evening’s Film Festival’s features the 2015 Telluride Mountain Film Festival Audience Award Winner “Unbranded.” It follows a group of friends as they ride 16 mustangs on a 3,000-mile, Mexico-to-Canada trek to advocate for wild horse adoption and conservation.
