BLM to highlight process for adopting wild horses and burros

Tres Rios Field Office will host a presentation highlighting the Bureau of Land Management’s process for adopting wild horses and burros from BLM lands, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30 at the Canyons of the Ancient Visitor Center.

Attendees can meet locally adopted horses from the Spring Creek Herd Management, Skipper and Whisper, along with their handlers, Tif Rodriguez and Keith Bean.

There will also be a book signing by Kat Wilder, the author of “Desert Chrome: Water, a Woman, and Wild Horses in the West.”
