Blackburn awarded

On Aug. 29, 2013, Pfc. Audra Blackburn of the 121st Combat Support Hospital U.S. Army Garrison-Yongsan, Seoul, South Korea, was awarded the Army Achievement Medal for outstanding performance during the 121st Combat Support Hospital’s Ulchi Freedom Guardian 2013 Exercises. Blackburn’s recommendation and justification for this award states, “PFC Blackburn’s performance throughout the 121st Combat Support Hospital 2013 Ulchi Freedom Guardian Exercise was stellar. In spite of the heat and long hours, PFC Blackburn ensured mission accomplishment. She distinguished herself through dedication, enthusiasm and a positive approach to the complexing mission of 121st CSH. She was essential in the set-up and operations of the 121st CSH’s mission.” Soon after receiving this meritorious achievement, Blackburn was promoted to specialist. Blackburn, daughter of Justin and Diane Ewing of Clifton, Ariz., and granddaughter of Roma Ewing of Mancos, will return to the U.S. on Jan. 23, 2014, and will be stationed at Fort Sill in Lawton, Okla., where she will be joined by her husband, Ron Hampton.
