Memorial services for Dolores resident Betty Kathrin South will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Elder Kerr will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Summit Ridge Cemetery.

Betty was born Dec. 14, 1941, the daughter of William Herman and Ecnella Viola (Wilde) Schwertfeger in Milwaukee, Wis. She passed away on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at the age of 71.

Surviving Betty are her daughter, Barbara Jean South Sutherland of Dolores; four grandchildren; and brother, Richard. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Gerald Ralph South and siblings, Herbert, Dorothy and Ruthie.
