An Empire Electric crew finishes cutting the power during a barn fire at 23336 Road N Wednesday afternoon. A second barn also burned when the high wind carried the fire across a field. Lewis Arriola firefighters, assisted by Cortez firefighters, stopped the blaze as it started burning a wall at the house. A burn barrel tipped over to start the fire. Firefighters stopped a brush fire at the same residence last year in October.
