Betty Apple, who worked with The Pampered Chef for the past 15 years, has announced that she is retiring.

Apple has conducted more than 800 kitchen shows, sold more than $250,000 in products, and held fundraisers for the Cortez Journal, The American Cancer Society, The Good Samaritan Center and Southwest Memorial Hospital.

She plans to host a customer appreciation at 1-4 p.m. May 2-3 at 25530 Highway 184 outside Dolores Off of Highway 145, turn west onto 184 and go 3.5 miles. Off of Highway 491, turn east onto Highway 184 and go 4.5 miles.

There will be refreshments and door prizes, new and sharply discounted products and free Food Chopper sharpening, among other specials.
