Internship is being held in Nebraska

Nebraska-based Ag Valley Co-op has welcomed Dolores’s Brooklyn Lee to its group of 2026 summer interns.

Lee, a senior studying agricultural leadership at Fort Hays State University in Kansas will be working as a sales agronomy intern at the co-op.

The internship will take place in Cambridge, Nebraska, where Lee will work under the mentorship of Branigan Shaben, sales agronomist.

The co-op will provide interns with hands-on experience in agronomy sales, as well as opportunities for professional development in Nebraska and Kansas, a press release said.

Other interns who will be taking part in the program with Lee are Ryan Babcock (Kansas), Samantha Schultz (Missouri) and Hallee Sheffield (Nebraska). The press release shared that each intern will be working with experienced agronomists to learn more about agronomy sales and agricultural operations.

“Our internship program is about more than giving these young people a summer job,” Ag Valley Co-op CEO and General Manager Jeff Krejdl said. “It's about passing on the knowledge and experience we've built over the years, while also learning from their fresh ideas. These interns are the future of our industry, and we're proud to help guide them along the way.”

Ag Valley Co-op was founded in 1953, and is a member-owned agricultural cooperative that serves communities in western and southwestern Nebraska and northwestern Kansas.
