AARP will sponsored a driver safety course Thursday, June 6, from 12:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Calvin Denton Room in the Empire Electric Building, 801 N. Broadway, Cortez.

This four-hour course is authorized by the state of Colorado. Completion of this course can qualify participants for a discount on their automobile insurance.

The course is available to all motorists. A $12 fee for AARP members and a $14 fee for nonmembers, which covers materials, is to be paid by check (no cash or credit card). Each participant should bring his or driver’s license, and AARP members should bring their AARP membership number.
