To the “good Samaritan” who noticed my vehicle was smoking at City Market last Friday, Oct. 4, and pushed it away from the gas pumps, thank you.

I don’t know who you are, but you put out the fire, kept me from harm, called the police and fire department and waited with me until they arrived. Thank you to officer Neagle and the firemen, who quickly showed up, moved my vehicle out of traffic and helped me get assistance (from Maxwell Automotive, who sent Blair’s Towing). You were great moral support. Thank you to Mary, the cashier who brought a fire extinguisher just in time. There are many kind-hearted people in this community, but these on Friday certainly blessed me. You all worked like a synchronized team.
