Parks give veterans free entry

Colorado Parks and Wildlife offers all military men and women free admission to Colorado state parks on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

Boating, fishing, camping, hiking and wildlife viewing are just a few of the activities to enjoy.

To obtain free admission to a state park, veterans, active duty military personnel (including active duty, Reserve and National Guard members) and their families must show:

An active, reserve or retired military ID card; an ID card from the Veterans’ Administration; Veterans of Foreign Wars or the American Legion; discharge papers or a DD214; or other proof of service.
