Health care fair in Mancos offers affordable services

Free and low-cost health screenings available at the Mancos School cafeteria April 2

Montezuma County residents may receive free and reduced-cost health services April 2 in Mancos during a fair hosted by 9Health:365.

The Denver nonprofit paused its statewide health fairs in March 2020 because of COVID-19.

Preventive health services and resources will be available for adults and children in the Mancos school cafeteria 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Services are:

  • Blood chemistry ($45).
  • Blood count screening ($30).
  • Blood pressure screening.
  • Blood type ($35)
  • Colon cancer screening kit ($45).
  • First aid.
  • Hemoglobin A1c screening ($35).
  • High sensitivity CRP ($40).
  • Prostate Specific Antigen ($40).
  • Testosterone ($45).
  • Vitamin B12 ($25).
  • Vitamin D 25-Hydroxy screening ($60).
  • Medical registration educator.

The nonprofit has partnered with Quest Diagnostics to offer the screenings.

Appointments are encouraged, but not necessary. Register at bit.ly/Mancoshealthscreening9Health. Participants are required to wear masks.

The health fair is one of 40 in the state hosted by the nonprofit this spring. Another fair will take place at the La Plata County Fairgrounds May 14 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
