An officer was requested by dispatch to respond to North Edith Street for a female refusing to leave a house. When the officer arrived, he spoke with the woman who lived at the house. The woman said that her cousin had just gotten out of jail and had been pounding on their door all evening, and her mother had left to call 911. She said that her cousin had just left on foot right before the officer had arrived. The officer told her that if she returned to call him. About 10 minutes later, dispatch told the officer the woman was back at the house. The officer arrived and noticed a woman hiding on the north side of the home. The officer told her she was under arrest for trespassing. In the patrol car, the woman leaned back and kicked the bars on the window, then began yelling, “I paid for that house, They’re going to get what’s coming.” The results of the woman’s breath test were .189, and she said she was going to beat some girl up when they placed her in a cell.

Dispatch aired a call of a disturbance in the area of Trinity Avenue and North Dolores Road. A caller told dispatch that a couple was arguing and then he heard a loud bang he thought could have been a gunshot. The man at the house said he had a verbal argument with his girlfriend, who left the house with their two children and went to her sister’s house. The officer then found the woman at her sister’s house and asked her what happened. The woman said her boyfriend had been drinking earlier in the day, and so she left the house for a while with her children, because he is not pleasant to be around when he is drinking. She said when she returned, he was still drinking, so she put the children down for the night and went in their room and was reading a magazine when her boyfriend came in and started an argument with her. She said he accused her of sleeping with other men and started yelling, so she decided she was going to get the children and leave. While she was getting the children, her boyfriend hit her in the back of the head, but she just kept getting ready to leave. She said when she went outside to get in her car, he was screaming at her and then went inside and slammed the door. The officer asked to see her head where he had hit her. The officer noticed a good-sized bump on the woman’s head about the size of a bottom of a Coca-Cola can that was swollen a significant amount. The woman said she didn’t realize he had hit her that hard until she was settled at her sister’s house. The man was arrested for third-degree assault and domestic violence.
