Wednesday, July 3

Police reported to the gas station at City Market in reference to an assault. A man was filling his gas tank and then walked over to some bushes and began urinating in the bushes. Another man who is in a wheelchair and missing his left leg from the knee down confronted the man, advising him that he was not allowed to urinate in public. The urinating man then turned and kicked the other man in the chest. There were several witnesses who were able to get the license plate number, which was out of New Mexico; however, the suspect’s vehicle was never located.

Friday, July 5

A man called police in a panic saying that two men were in his house and had beat him with a baseball bat and kidnapped his girlfriend. The man also said that he was lucky to be alive because two short Mexicans showed up with guns blazing and had shot multiple rounds at him. The police asked the man if he had been shot and he stated that he had and pointed to a small cut on his lip. A neighbor stated that he saw the man run out of his house and start banging on other trailers yelling for the police. The neighbor stated that he did not see two short Mexicans but earlier in the day saw a stocky white male and a tall Native American drinking with the man. The police then questioned the man about drinking earlier in the day and asked his girlfriend’s last name was so they could try to locate her. The man would not tell the police what his girlfriend’s last name was and told the police if they could not locate her then they needed to get off of his property. The officer gave the man his card and asked him to call him when he sobered up.

Friday, July 5

Dispatch requested police to respond to Happy Valley Trailer Park in reference to indecent exposure. A woman said that she saw a man come out of his trailer and walk around naked and then go back inside and flash her through his window. The woman was asked to stay close in case the police had any further questions. The man was contacted and was asked if there was any reason he would be flashing them, the man said no because he has been inside all day in the den. The police attempted to talk to the woman again but could not locate her. Dispatch then advised police that the man had an active warrant and he was then placed into custody.

Sunday, July 7

Many complaints had been called in about chickens wandering the neighborhood. One woman stated that her neighbor allowed her chickens to run into her yard and that she was tired of cleaning up after the poultry. Another woman said that the chickens were leaving waste on her carpeted front porch. Both women wanted to press charges on the owner of the chickens. They also both said that the chickens were frequently wandering, especially on the weekends. The owner of the chickens was issued a citation and she stated that her chickens had escaped due to a tree branch falling on their cage.

Monday, July 8

A woman had called police for damages on her vehicle. The woman said she pulled up to the Social Services building and went inside. A few minutes later her husband’s ex-wife had walked in and smirked at her and gave her funny looks. When the woman was leaving she noticed that her vehicle had been keyed. She said she knows it was her husband’s ex-wife who keyed her vehicle but could not prove it.
