Earlier this year, the Colorado Legislature passed into law HB1303, making substantive changes to the registration and election process in Colorado.
Among other provisions: mail ballots will now be sent to all registered voters; Colorado citizens can now register to vote up to and including on Election Day; polling places are replaced with Voter Service and Polling Centers and Ballot Drop-off locations. These are significant changes of which we should be aware as we head toward the Nov. 5 election.
Join Tiffany Parker, La Plata County clerk and recorder, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the La Plata County Fairgrounds Extension Building, where she will explain the Voter Access and Modernized Elections Law.
The presentation will include a question-and-answer session. Refreshments will be served.
