Sunday, July 14

An officer reported to Highway 491 in response to a man trying to flag down vehicles. The man stated that he was at a friend’s house down the road and had consumed a few drinks when he decided he needed to go home. The officer remembered that the man was on pre-trial and had alcohol previsions that prevent him from consuming alcohol. Since the man admitted to drinking, he was arrested and placed into custody for violating his bond.

Sunday, July 14

A vehicle was pulled over for traveling faster than the posted speed limit of 40 mph. The officer contacted the driver and asked for her and the passengers drivers’ licenses. Dispatch confirmed that the driver had a suspended license and that the two passengers had warrants. The two male passengers were arrested and both were placed into custody. The female driver was issued a summons for speeding and driving with a suspended license.

Monday, July 15

An officer was called to Highway 491 for a cold break in. The owner of a storage unity said that one of the units had been broken into and she had witten the person renting the storage unit a letter as to what she had observed. The renter of the storage unit said that he always keeps his storage unit very neat and in order. He said when he went to his storage unit, everything had been scattered around and he noticed several things missing. The man said he would make a list of all the things missing which included several firearms. The officer was able to collect a Burger King bag with a receipt and credit card number but had no other leads. The man said he would check pawnshops for his belongings.

Wednesday, July 17

A man was walking down County Road 35.6 when he was attacked and bitten by an Australian shepherd dog. The man had called to request information about the incident. The man said that when he went to the hospital, they told him they would report the incident. The hospital never reported it, so the man requested that the incident be reported and that action be taken. He stated that he could provide medical records if needed. The man said he had a severe bite to his calf and was able to get away from the dogs and go to the hospital. The officer attempted to contact the owner of the dogs and found out that the owners are out of town but will follow up with them as soon as possible.
