Semitrailer crash closes Colorado 141 near Slick Rock

An overturned semitrailer on Colorado Highway 141 in the Slick Rock area outside Egnar has clossed the highway, the San Miquel Sheriff’s Offic said Monday afternoon.

A semitrailer overturned Monday on Colorado Highway 141 near Slick Rock, closing both lanes of traffic, the San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.

The section of the highway was expected to remain closed for several hours.

About 7:20 p.m., Deputy Marcelinio Mendisco of the San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office said the tow truck and Colorado State Patrol were at the scene, but the highway might not be cleared until 9 p.m. CDOT announced via Twitter about 9:15 p.m. that the highway had reopened.

The Colorado Department of Transportation advised travelers to take an alternate route.
