As a member of the Colorado Senate for nearly six years, including more than three years representing Senate District 6, I understand the challenges facing the rural communities of Southwest Colorado. I am proud to strongly endorse Naomi Riess for Colorado House District 59 because she has the experience, practical skills and determination needed to serve the people of La Plata, Archuleta, Montezuma and San Juan counties effectively.
Riess brings decades of professional experience in land-use planning, consulting, negotiations and responsible development. Throughout her career, she has worked directly with farmers, ranchers, property owners, businesses and community members to navigate complicated regulations, overcome government red tape and move important projects forward.
