Event will promote anniversary of U.S., Colorado, Cortez and more

The Cortez Quilt Co. is hosting a Sidewalk Quilt Show this weekend to showcase customer-created quilts that honor major anniversaries for the nation, state and local landmarks.
The free Celebration With Quilts event will feature quilts that celebrate the USA 250th anniversary, Colorado’s 150th, Cortez’s 140th, Mesa Verde National Park’s 120th and Route 66’s 100th.
The event will be held on Saturday, July 25, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 48 West Main St. in Cortez and along the 200 block.
