I always wonder: Do young people read the newspaper or do they get their information from social media and their parents? Listen up, parents – make your voting children read this so they can make up their own minds.
In the last 2½ years, Trump has pardoned rapists, felons and murderers. He has awarded government contracts to his friends without going through the bidding process. A good example is the reflecting pool. Trump publicly claimed the repair would cost $1.8 million. He gave his “pool guy” a no-bid contract that has since climbed to $13.1 million. The White House is a national monument and needs congressional approval to modify it. Trump wanted to build a $600 million ballroom with donations from private donors. With no approval and no donations, he bulldozed the East Wing. Now those of us who do not want the ballroom are going to have to pay for it with our tax dollars.
Campaigning, Trump said “no more wars,” “lower grocery prices,” “drill baby drill.” The only thing he did follow through on was increasing tariffs. Let’s not forget the Big Beautiful Bill that affected millions of people’s health care and SNAP benefits. Don't listen to what Trump says – see what he does. He started a war, grocery prices have increased, fuel costs have skyrocketed. According to his own financial disclosure, Trump has personally collected $2.2 billion since returning to office.
