ICE is the Gestapo. Trump is Hitler. Trans women are women. Israel is the aggressor. Capitalism is the problem. We live on stolen land. No one in the country is illegal. Abortion is good. The homeless aren’t all outdoor drug users. Silence is violence. Two words: America sucks.

ICE is a police force. Trump is an authoritarian president. There are only two sexes. Israel has fought only defensive wars. Capitalism has lifted more poor people out of poverty than any other economic system. We live on conquered land, as all people do. Those who do not follow immigration laws do so illegally. Abortion is not “a good.” The homeless use drugs much like the rest of us, but we don’t do so in public. Physical violence involves touching; no one does time for “the silent treatment.” America has the world’s largest economy and most powerful military while being the least racist, most successful multiracial democracy in human history. Two words: America rocks.
Wearing costumes and sharing outrage is a performative act that no emotionally sober adult respects. Obviously, both sides have lost the ability to adult, depending on time and place.
Remember: Evil is just the absence of good, and acting out your outrage and resentment is not good. We do not live in either a fascist or communist regime. Vote, stop showing off. It’s annoying and self-evidently counterproductive, as the Patriot parades after Trump lost were, while the Critical Social Justice protests contributed to Kamala’s loss.
