Southwest Health System and the Montezuma County Health Department hosted a community health fair April 18 that drew more than 100 participants and delivered preventive care services to attendees.
The event welcomed 110 community members, including 62 who preregistered. A vaccine clinic held during the fair served 18 participants and administered 37 vaccines as part of broader disease prevention efforts, Southwest Health said.
A total of 123 volunteers, including health care professionals, students and community partners, supported the event. Volunteers assisted with registration, health screenings, educational outreach and event logistics throughout the day.
Joe Theine, CEO of Southwest Health, thanked volunteers and partners, including Montezuma County Public Health, Pueblo Community College and Fort Lewis College/University of Colorado.
“What an exciting day full of service, care and support,” he said.
