The Montezuma‑Cortez school district has issued an alert telling parents and guardians that students will be released early because of worsening weather conditions. The district cited rapidly changing road conditions, saying they are “quickly becoming impassable.”

Elementary students will be released at 2:50 p.m., middle school students at 3 p.m. and high school students at 3:10 p.m. by bus and pickup.

The district asked families to pick up children at the designated times.
