Bayfield 1, Montezuma-Cortez 0
The Panthers wrapped up their 2025 campaign with a tough home loss to Bayfield, falling to the Wolverines on a goal midway through the first half. A young M-CHS squad will graduate three seniors from its rotation as it heads into the offseason, capping a 3-8-3 season.
Dolores 3, Sanford 1 (Friday)
Dolores 3, Crested Butte 0
After rallying from an opening-set deficit against the Mustangs to win 25-15, 25-14, 25-16, 25-15, the Bears look forward to a Tuesday night showdown with Ignacio – the team that dealt them their lone blemish on a 21-1 record.
The Bears jumped into the top five in the state rankings in the CHSAA Seeding and Selection Index – all but assuring Dolores High School a home regional site regardless of what happens against the Bobcats. They remain focused on earning a share of the San Juan Basin League title. A Bears victory would allow them to share the spoils with Ignacio, while a Bobcats win would give Ignacio the title outright. Their Tuesday night clash is set for a 6:30 p.m. opening serve at the Dolores High School Fieldhouse.
Ignacio 3, Dove Creek 0 (Saturday)
Two matches remain on the schedule for the Bulldogs after their straight-set loss to the Bobcats. Dove Creek (3-16) hopes to close on a winning note against Norwood on Tuesday, Oct. 28, and on Senior Day versus Ridgway on Nov. 1.
Mancos 3, Ridgway 0 (Saturday)
The Bluejays made the most of their trip to Ridgway, sweeping the Demons in a Saturday doubleheader – capturing the first match 25-19, 25-9, 25-22, then cruising to a 25-16, 25-13, 25-18 win in the second.
The wins move the Jays to 9-13 on the season as they prepare for their final regular-season match Thursday, Oct. 30, at home against Ouray.
