I don’t have direct knowledge of what’s happening in Gaza or the West Bank, but like most of you, I see pictures of destruction, starvation, killings and violence against Palestinians, aid workers, journalists and activists almost daily.
Yes, Hamas started it, but Israel’s response has been way too disproportionate and way too inhumane. We wouldn’t and shouldn’t tolerate such genocidal behavior anywhere else in the world. So, why are we giving Israel and its extremist government the means to perpetuate such atrocities?
Rep. Taylor Green is right. Not only is Israel a nuclear power; it’s also a prosperous country. Its GDP exceeds that of several U.S. states, which is not a criticism, but rather a testament to the ingenuity and entrepreneurship of the Israeli people.
Netanyahu and his partners in crime will stop killing and starving innocent Palestinians, including women and children, if we stop giving them billions of dollars every year, likely without any real accountability of how the money is spent.
We may not have much say in how Israel conduct its business, but we can stop financing its crimes with our tax dollars, or are our politicians too indebted to the pro-Israel PACs or the Epsteins of this world?
