The scholarships were awarded for 2025
Onward! A Legacy Foundation, has announced its 2025-26 scholarship recipients. The foundation is distributing over $133,000 in new and renewed scholarships to support local students who are pursuing higher education.
2025 scholarship recipients
- Bill and Peg Rees Scholarship: Leopold Morey, Montezuma-Cortez High School.
- Montezuma-Cortez High School Alumni Scholarship: Cruz Hernandez and Atticus Keel, MCHS.
- Leonard Cain Medical Scholarship: Abraham Hafner and Maecyn White, MCHS; Siena Parr, Dolores.
- Hoover Endowed Medical Scholarship: Abraham Hafner, Houston Hurst, Samson Lein, Maddisyn Morris and Maecyn White, MCHS; Kaiden Wyatt, Mancos High School; Alexis Anderson, Siena Parr and Coralea Wright, Dolores.
