Thursday, April 17 ​

9:56 a.m. An officer responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to serve a warrant on a man transported from another jurisdiction. The warrant included charges for DUI, failure to display proof of insurance, driving without a valid license and speeding. ​

2:23 p.m. An officer responded to the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St., regarding a man bothering patrons. The man, who was allegedly intoxicated, was found to have violated a restraining order prohibiting alcohol consumption. ​He was arrested.

Friday, April 18

12:10 a.m. An officer responded to a disturbance at a residence on Acoma Street after a woman claimed she was threatened. She had allegedly told those she was with that she had a gun and was going to kill someone. She was suspected to be under the influence of meth and was arrested on suspicion of felony menacing.

9:40 a.m. An officer responded to a property dispute at a residence on South Broadway involving a torn-down fence. A neighbor allegedly admitted to removing the fence, which was deemed criminal mischief. ​The neighbor was issued a summons. ​

11:50 a.m. An officer followed up on a dog running at large complaint at South Broadway. The neighbor’s dog had injured the reporting party’s dog during an altercation. ​The neighbor was issued a summons for the dog running at large. ​

1:56 p.m. An officer responded to a disturbance on East Sixth Street involving an intoxicated man who became combative and threatened the officer. The man was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace​.

Saturday, April 19 ​

1:59 a.m. An officer responded to a domestic violence incident at a residence on Madison Street. A woman allegedly admitted to punching a three times man during an argument. Both parties were thought to be intoxicated, and the woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, assault and underage drinking. ​

5:22 p.m. An officer responded to a disturbance at Oak Meadows Apartments, West Seventh Street, where a man and woman were arguing. The man had cuts on his arms and the woman allegedly said she scratched him because he was choking her. The woman was arrested on suspicion of assault and domestic violence. Officers went back to the residence to attempt to speak with the male.

Sunday, April 20 ​

11:32 a.m. An officer observed a man trespassed from city parks at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St. ​The man was issued a citation for trespassing.

4:48 p.m. An officer arrested a man with a warrant at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

Monday, April 21 ​

8:59 a.m. A man was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

12:38 p.m. An officer arrested a man with a warrant at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

1:41 p.m. An officer arrested a man banned from Walmart at 1835 E. Main St. ​The man, who was allegedly intoxicated, refused to leave the property and was arrested on suspicion of trespassing.

4:42 p.m. An officer issued a trespass notice to a woman at the Church of Christ, 631 E. Montezuma Ave., after she refused to leave the property. The woman was issued a summons for trespassing. ​

7:46 p.m. An officer responded to 11 N. Beech St. regarding an unwanted person refusing to leave. The intoxicated man became combative and was arrested on suspicion of trespassing. ​

Tuesday, April 22

11:35 p.m. An officer arrested a man with a warrant at Prairie Mesa Estates, 650 E. Second St., after responding to a noise complaint.

11:39 p.m. An officer responded to City Market, 508 E. Main St., where a man, previously trespassed from City Market, was found disoriented on the ground. He allegedly possessed a bottle of vodka. He was arrested on suspicion of trespassing.

Wednesday, April 23

8:52 a.m. An officer arrested a man and a woman with warrants at Sleeping Ute Apartments, 516 S. Madison St. Both were taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

1:33 p.m. An officer served a warrant to a woman at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

3:55 p.m. An officer arrested a man turning himself in on a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. ​

6:06 p.m. An officer responded to City Market, 508 E. Main St., to arrest a man on a warrant.

6:37 p.m. An officer responded to a complaint about pit bulls on East Seventh Street. The dog owner was issued a summons for allowing the dogs to roam onto other properties. ​

8:40 p.m. An officer responded to a hit-and-run traffic accident at 400 E. Roger Smith Ave. A man involved in the incident was found to be intoxicated and arrested on suspicion of DUI.
