Several buildings lost power about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday after a vehicle struck a power pole in the 2800 block of Main Avenue.
The outage affected 925 La Plata Electric Association customers, according to the electric co-op.
By 1:50 p.m., power had been restored to all but one customer.
Durango High School, Miller Middle School, the Boys and Girls Club and the Durango Community Recreation Center were among those affected, according to a school district spokeswoman.
The crash also disrupted water service to the recreation center and Miller Middle School.
Power and water services were restored to the schools by 11:13 a.m., with no significant disruption to the school day, the spokeswoman said. After-school activities continued as scheduled.
The Boys and Girls Club closed for the day due to the outages, and the rec center closed for several hours before reopening midafternoon.
