INVITATION TO BID

Sealed bids for furnishing the following to the City of Cortez, Colorado, will be received at the office of the Public Works Director, City Service Center, 110 West Progress Circle, Cortez, CO 81321, until 2:00 p.m. on, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read. The project consists of the following:

The Work consists of rehabilitation of a drinking water clarifier structure and hardware. The Work includes cleaning of the clarifier structure and hardware, rehabilitating hardware for attachments, and blasting and recoating of specified clarifier structures and hardware. The clarifier is approximately 110 feet (110’) in diameter and 17 feet (17’) side water depth and is located at the City of Cortez Water Treatment Plant, 27999 CR N, Dolores, CO 81323.

Contractor shall not begin work onsite until October 28, 2024. Bid documents, including drawings and specifications, can be examined at the City Service Center, Department of Public Works. A non-refundable fee of $100 will be charged for bid documents, delivery shall be either electronic (email pdf) or hard copy.

NOTE: There will be a Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting at the Water Treatment Plant,
27999 County Road N, Dolores, CO 81323, for all prospective bidders on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

All attendees must have purchased the bid documents directly from the City of Cortez and be on the City’s Plan-holders’ List in order to bid on this project.

Bids shall be submitted in writing on the documents provided and signed by the bidder or his duly authorized agent. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and marked on the outside with “BID – 2024 Clarifier Rehabilitation Project – City of Cortez” and with the bidder’s name.
